Our story began with Terry Adams, who first donned a butcher’s apron at just 14 years old. From learning the ropes in some of London’s finest shops to managing teams across Medway, Terry’s love for quality meat and traditional service has always been at the heart of what we do.

In 2014, Terry and his wife Jackie opened the doors to our Heathfield shop, determined to bring top-quality, locally sourced meats to their community. With long hours, hard work, and a genuine love for the craft, they grew Butchers Hook from a two-person dream into a thriving local business.

Today, our team has expanded to 10 full-time and 5 part-time staff who share our passion for great food and friendly service. We’re proud to offer a wide range of meats, homemade sausages, prepared foods, and local produce—always with a smile and honest advice.

We believe in supporting local farmers and producers, ensuring everything we offer is fresh, responsibly sourced, and fairly priced. Whether you’re planning a Sunday roast, a summer BBQ, or just popping in for your weekly essentials, we’re here to help.
